About

From youth to present the passion behind Wildflower Advocate Coordination has always been people. Whether it was helping a grandmother with groceries, reading to those who could no longer see well, managing prescriptions, or being someone's voice at a doctor's appointment - a deep love for others has been the driving force behind both a career and a way of living.

That journey began formally at Nassau Tech BOCES, where training in Medical Office Technology and Rehabilitation/Habilitation programs provided early, hands on experience at hospitals and A. Holly Patterson Nursing Home. Working in the mental health unit there was a defining moment, it became clear that a one size fits all approach simply doesn't work. Every person requires care and support tailored specifically to them.

That insight led to a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from New York Institute of Technology and a Certified Case Manager (CCM) designation. Over 20+years working in Social Service field, the focus has remained consistent: helping individuals, especially seniors and those in the mental health community, navigate a complex healthcare system while maintaining their independence and dignity. Skills like Motivational Interviewing have been added along the way, all in service of one mission: empowering every client to unleash their inner Gladiolus.

Mission

"Words are powerful, but actions give them credibility.  It is our mission to promote optimum mental, emotional, and physical health - and to build the kind of trust that makes real change possible.  Empowering and Championing the Inner Gladiolus One Client at a Time."
